The Thurstan College Old Boys' Union (OBU) Australia is a vibrant community of former students of Thurstan College, Colombo, Sri Lanka — now proudly based across Australia.

We are united by our shared heritage, school values, and a commitment to fostering fellowship among old boys while supporting the ongoing development of our beloved alma mater.

OBU Australia Founded

Formation of the Thurstan College Old Boys' Union Australia, officially established and uniting Thurstanites across the continent.

1997

Inaugural Dinner Dance

The very first OBU Australia Dinner Dance — a landmark evening that established the tradition of annual celebrations bringing the community together.

2010

The Gypsies Dance

A vibrant and colourful themed evening celebrating the spirit and culture of OBU Australia, drawing members from across the country.

2013

Stars of the 70s Dinner Dance

A nostalgic tribute to the golden era of the 1970s, bringing Thurstanites together in style to relive fond memories of the decade.
